Jason has nearly twenty years of experience in autonomous vehicle systems. He is currently CTO of Exyn Technologies where he leads the technical team focusing on GPS-denied autonomy and survey-grade, 3D SLAM.

Prior to joining Exyn in 2015, Jason was a Staff Research Scientist at United Technologies Corporation (2011-2015) where he helped pioneer the software behind Matrix Technology – Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation’s autonomous system brand. He holds ten patents in the area of autonomous vertical take-off and landing aircraft and has been published in a variety of IEEE forums on topics ranging from multi-robot control and coordination to metric-free localization. He is a former post-doctoral research fellow in the GRASP Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania (2009-2011), and he holds a Ph.D. (2009) and M.S. (2005) from Lehigh University.
