Biography

Aleksandr Zakharchenko is Vice President of Clearance and Collateral Technology, responsible for driving technological innovation for the business to ensure that the platforms, providing Clearance and Collateral Management services, remain cutting-edge, fully in line with demands of today and ready to meet anticipated needs of tomorrow. He has more than 15 years of experience leading the strategic development, deployment and risk management of technology solutions aimed at increasing the speed and efficiency of business and reducing operational costs.

Prior to his current role, Aleksandr Zakharchenko was Vice President of Liquidity Services at BNY Mellon, responsible for the delivery of services and technology solutions to assist clients in managing their liquidity and margin requirements. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Aleksandr was Assistant Vice President at Barclays, where he led the agility, stability and resiliency of the bank’s POINT portfolio management and risk analytics platform for the fixed income market. Prior to that, he led technology strategy development at Interactive Data Corporation which provided financial market data, analytics and related solutions to financial institutions, active traders, and individual investors.

Aleksandr is a published author and has co-written multiple articles on automated software correctness enhancement and automated data discovery and cross-validation in hierarchical data structures. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Strayer University, a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Saint Peter’s University, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
